Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Driver coordinator to oversee our fleet operations and ensure efficient transportation services. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various driving disciplines, including commercial driving and delivery experience. This role requires excellent communication skills, Strong problem solving ability, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to manage a team of drivers effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Managing inbound and outbound loads at customer facility.
  • Shunting of trailers in yard is required.
  • Transferring of trailers between yards is required.
  • Manage daily operations of the driving team, including scheduling and route planning
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies
  • Monitor driver performance and provide feedback for improvement.
  • Coordinate maintenance and repairs for commercial vehicles to ensure optimal performance
  • Maintain accurate records of vehicle inspections, maintenance logs.
  • Foster effective communication between drivers, warehouse staff, and management to enhance operational efficiency
  • Ensuring the maintainence and cleanliness of the yard is maintained at all times.

Qualifications

  • Must have AZ license with minimum 2 years of experience.
  • Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle operation and maintenance is preferred
  • Problem solving ability and strong communication skills to effectively manage teams and interact with clients
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of route driving principles and logistics management.

Note: Candidate should be authorized to work full time for any employer in Canada.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00-$27.50 per hour
