Job Description
We're seeking a Safety Manager to join our client in Dartmouth on a term contract.
This is a hands-on role for a confident, experienced safety professional who is passionate about maintaining safety and compliance in warehouse operations while contributing to a variety of projects and initiatives within a dynamic and thriving business.
Key Responsibilities for the Job:
Lead the team in prioritizing action plans, gathering input from managers, and overseeing the implementation of next stepsPerform day-to-day safety recordings and investigate incidentsChair committee meetings and monitor emerging safety mattersUpdate and maintain the company safety manual as requiredCollaborate closely with production staff to implement practical safety programsLead initiatives to communicate safety information, encourage employee participation, and recognize safe work practicesProvide general support and complete ad hoc projects as assignedExperience & Attributes for Success:
5–7 years of senior-level safety experience, including managerial responsibilities, preferably in warehouse or industrial operationsStrong knowledge of legislated requirements in applicable jurisdictions Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations and best practicesConfident decision-maker, able to lead initiatives and enforce safety standardsExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalTeam player with a motivated approach to ensure a safe and compliant workplace for allIf interested in this opportunity, please apply online by clicking the Apply Now button.
