Summary
As a Light Duty Wrecker Operator at City Wide Towing, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional towing and recovery services to our clients. This position requires a commitment to safety, customer satisfaction, and the ability to operate various towing equipment effectively. Responsibilities
- Operate towing vehicles safely and efficiently to recover vehicles as needed.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting clients during their time of need.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on towing equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members regarding job status and updates.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols while on the job site.
- Assist with minor automotive repairs when necessary.
- Use and manage E-Logs.
Basic/Required Qualifications
- Minimum Class 5 Driver's License
- Proven experience in customer service roles, preferably in the automotive or towing industry.
- Strong knowledge of Calgary and area
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Able to maintain records and provide reports
- Recent criminal record check (employer-paid)
- Recent driver's abstract (employee-paid)
- Must pass drug, alcohol, and fit-to-work test
- Able to work independently and with a team
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
Preferred Qualifications
- Air brakes certification is an asset (Q Endorsement)
- Towing experience (training provided for the right candidate)
Working Conditions/Physical Demands
- Perform moderate to heavy tasks for long periods of time
- Work primarily outdoors in all weather
- Lift/push/pull up to 100lbs regularly
- Travel may include local, provincial, and inter-provincial routes
- May assist at accident scenes with emergency personnel
