The Alliance Française Canada Pacific in Victoria is hiring an experienced and motivated FLE (French as a Foreign Language) teacher to join our dynamic team

Start Date:

  • January 5, 2026 (in-person)

Responsibilities:

  • 24 hours of teaching per week, from Tuesday to Saturday.
  • Teaching French to adults: group classes, private lessons, in-person or online courses (beginner to C2 levels, including conversation classes).
  • Teaching French to children and teenagers (12+): group classes, private lessons, in-person or online courses, from beginner to B2 level, including conversation classes.
  • Teaching French to businesses and Canadian government employees.
  • Testing candidates for official exams : TEF, TCF, DELF

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Significant Teaching Experience: Minimum 12 months of full-time experience (1,200 hours) teaching a diverse audience, including children, teenagers, and adults, in both group settings (online or in-person).
  • Preferred Certification: DELF-DALF, TEF, TCF, Examiner-Corrector certification.

Flexible and autonomous, with a strong team spirit.

Comfortable using new technologies, including online teaching and interactive whiteboards (TBI).

Creative and innovative in their teaching approach.

Well-versed in the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) levels.
