** We have an immediate opening for a Welder Fitter Fabricator **
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
- Follow instructions, work well with others as well as independently and with minimal supervision.
- Read and understand blueprints, engineered drawings, welding symbols, technical drawings and instructions.
- Able to read, understand and apply appropriate weld procedures, complete welding logs and examine welds to ensure they meet specifications/standards.
- Prepare jigs/fixtures/set ups for welding.
- Fit and weld fabrications to the drawings and assembly instructions provided.
- Fitting experience is required.
- Perform all welding tasks and related fabrication and finishing processes.
- Understand all quality requirements for products and meet those requirements.
- Make adjustments to meet precise specifications.
- Able to safely operate all powered equipment and demonstrate safe lifting and material handling
- Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills, works well under pressure and in a team environment.
- Able to work with minimal supervision.
- Use grinding/deburring equipment effectively and as required.
- Must have an understanding of working with tolerances.
- Must have an ability to read tape measure and other measuring devices.
- Applicant may be asked to demonstrate welding capabilities at time of interview
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of related experience.
- Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, assembly, operating and maintenance instructions, technical drawings and procedural manuals.
- Experience in similar positions is an asset.
- Good communication skills and a teamwork attitude is an asset.
- Independent, self-starter with good multi-tasking abilities.
- A positive team player with ability to work under pressure and adhere to strict deadlines.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, disciplined approach to work.
- Excellent judgment and strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written English.
- Ability to work regular and overtime hours (when required).
