Are you a skilled and experienced metal fabricator who enjoys being hands-on and ensuring that workstations are running efficiently? We are a Vaughan-based custom metal fabrication company looking for a **Lead Fabrication Technician to oversee** **and contribute directly to our floor operations.**

**About the Role**:
In this role, you’ll be working directly on the floor while leading a small team of professionals, ensuring the smooth flow of production across multiple stations, including welding, brake press, and laser cutting. You’ll help keep things moving, troubleshoot issues, and ensure our team meets production deadlines and quality standards.

**Responsibilities**:

- Work hands-on with **welders, brake press operators, and laser cutting specialists** to keep the shop floor running smoothly.
- Lead by example—be actively involved in fabrication tasks while overseeing productivity.
- **Read and interpret SolidWorks CAD drawings,** ensure team members are following specs accurately, and **spot issues early.** Assist team members when they are stuck or facing challenges, and inspect work in progress to ensure parts meet the required specifications.
- Troubleshoot issues, assist where needed, and ensure all products meet strict quality standards and match the specifications provided in the drawings.
- Ensure each station is **organized, productive**, and stays on schedule.
- **Step in to cover any position** when a team member is absent (e.g., due to a holiday or a day off) while ensuring the shop floor continues to operate at full capacity.

**Requirements**:
7-10+ years of hands-on experience in custom metal fabrication, with practical knowledge of welding, brake press operations, and laser cutting.

Proven ability to read and interpret technical drawings (SolidWorks preferred).

Comfortable working directly on the shop floor, keeping workstations productive and output high.

**Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask **and solve problems in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent communication skills, able to motivate and support your teammates.
