Summary
This position is responsible for supervising the workshop with the objective of achieving a standard level of quality, efficiency and profitability. The Shop Foreman has direct supervision over the Licensed Technicians and Apprentice Technicians.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily shop operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and productivity
- Dispatch work based on skill level, workload, and priority
- Ensure accurate, timely, and properly documented repairs
- Maintain repair quality, prevent comebacks, and uphold manufacturer standards
- Provide hands-on technical support and lead complex diagnostics
- Mentor and develop technicians at all levels
- Enforce safety, compliance, and shop standards
- Foster a positive, accountable team culture
- Communicate effectively with technicians, advisors, and leadership
- Support continuous improvement, modernization, and future shop growth
Requirements
- Licensed Automotive Technician (Red Seal or equivalent preferred)
- Clean Driving Record
- 5+ years of hands-on automotive repair experience
- Leadership, mentoring, or foreman experience an asset
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and diagnostic expertise
- Experience with modern diagnostic tools and shop systems
- Proven leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Clear, effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to coach, motivate, and develop technicians
- Organized, detail-oriented, and results-driven
- Calm, professional, and adaptable under pressure
- Team-oriented with a strong sense of accountability
- Pride in workmanship and customer satisfaction
- Forward-thinking with a commitment to continuous improvement
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: From $38.00 per hour

Experience:
- Automotive: 5 years (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
