Location: GTA (Hybrid)

Salary: $70/hr - $90/hr (depending upon the experience)

Job Description

As a
Platform Solutions Engineer
, you will be instrumental in architecting, deploying, and managing resilient cloud-based infrastructure solutions. Using your deep expertise in Infrastructure-as-Code, cloud technologies, and DevOps practices, you will build and optimize scalable, secure environments that support our growing data and analytics needs. You will also contribute significantly to strengthening our platform capabilities, especially in AI operations, ensuring seamless integration and reliable performance across projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect and implement infrastructure using
    Terraform
    , enabling automated, consistent deployments.
  • Build and maintain
    CI/CD pipelines
    using Jenkins and GitOps methodologies, leveraging
    Groovy
    for automation.
  • Deploy, monitor, and optimize
    Azure cloud infrastructure
    with a strong focus on security, performance, and scalability.
  • Integrate and oversee
    Databricks
    environments for advanced data processing and analytics workloads.
  • Implement and manage
    APIM/APIOps
    solutions, specifically tailored to
    Group Functions
    requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and respond swiftly to production incidents to minimize downtime and operational impact.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams—security, risk, architecture—to ensure alignment with enterprise standards and governance.
  • Contribute to team workflows by managing
    JIRA
    tasks and participating in daily/weekly stand-ups.
  • Continuously explore and adopt emerging technologies to enhance platform capabilities.

Required Skills

  • 7+ years
    of hands-on experience with
    Terraform
    .
  • 5+ years
    working with
    Jenkins
    , GitOps practices, and
    Groovy
    scripting.
  • 7+ years
    deploying and managing infrastructure on
    Microsoft Azure
    .
  • 3+ years
    of experience with
    Databricks
    .
  • 5+ years
    working with
    APIM/APIOps
    , specifically within
    GWAM
    .

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with
    AI/GenAI platforms
    and operational management.
  • Exposure to
    data and analytics projects
    .
  • Automation experience using
    Python
    or similar scripting tools.
  • Strong communication and documentation abilities.

Soft Skills

  • Ability to build platforms using predefined IaC modules and DevOps tooling.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in high-pressure production environments.
  • Experience developing platforms to support
    AI operations
    capabilities.
  • Excellent collaboration skills, including the ability to schedule and lead discussions with varied stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational habits, effectively managing tasks in
    JIRA
    and contributing to team stand-ups.
  • Adaptability and a growth mindset toward learning new technologies.
  • A proactive, team-oriented approach with a focus on delivering high-quality outcomes within constraints.
