Required Qualifications

Education

• Registered Respiratory Therapist or a Registered Nurse with current registration
• RPN/LPN with current registration

Experience

• Minimum 2 years related experience preferred
• Homecare and sales experience an asset

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task
• Attention to detail and results oriented
• Able to work under pressure and have strong sense of urgency
• Must possess commitment to client and personal safety
• Maintain client confidentiality
• Clear Driving record/abstract
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
• Proof of full vaccination against the COVID-19 virus is required for this role. Fully vaccinated means having received the full series of a COVID-19 vaccine or combination of COVID-19 vaccines approved by the World Health Organization (WHO) (e.g. two doses of a two-dose vaccine series, or one dose of a single-dose vaccine series), and having received the final dose of the COVID-19 vaccine at least 14 days prior

Healthcare Professional (RRT/RN/RPN - Full Time) - Ottawa, ON

Salary range\: 68 000$-70 000$ / Type\: replacement role

Primary Purpose

The Healthcare Professional is responsible for initiation of prescribed respiratory therapy in the Medigas office, education, documentation, and follow-up to ensure equipment performance and client compliance. 

Key Accountabilities

• Initiating and optimizing CPAP/Bipap Therapy based on Physician Prescriptions.
• Educating patient and care givers about Obstructive Sleep Apnea and its effects on health.
• Generating sleep therapy reports and sending to Physician for approval
• Processing Government Paperwork once equipment is sold.
• In office consultations with sleep and oxygen clients
• Build and maintain high quality client and referral relationships
• Perform all job duties in compliance with Safety standards;
• Support in the training and development of new employees as needed
