Overview

Join our dynamic team as a Liquor Store Clerk and become the friendly face that customers rely on for an exceptional shopping experience. We are searching for an enthusiastic, dynamic, and customer service-oriented individual to join our retail sales/order fulfillment team for day, evening, and weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products, providing knowledgeable recommendations and engaging product demos when applicable.
  • Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system & Operate Drive Thru accurately for transactions, including cash handling, credit card processing, and issuing receipts.
  • Maintain a well-organized store by stocking shelves, merchandising displays, and ensuring products are properly labeled and faced.
  • Conduct regular inventory checks, manage stock levels, and coordinate with management to reorder popular items.
  • Promote upselling opportunities by suggesting complementary products or special offers to enhance customer satisfaction and sales.
  • Ensure adherence to all legal regulations regarding alcohol sales, including verifying customer age through proper ID checks.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and maintaining a professional phone etiquette when assisting remote inquiries.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure the store's cleanliness, safety standards, and compliance with health regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What you bring

  • Proven experience with POS systems and cash handling procedures in a retail or grocery store environment.
  • Must be Over 19 years.
  • Highly motivated and able to work a flexible schedule.
  • Strong work ethic, great attitude, energetic, great communication skills.
  • Knowledge of wine, spirits, and craft beer and or liquor industry is an asset but not required.
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods of time and ability to lift heavy loads up to 50+ lbs on regular basis.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Professional appearance, demeanor, and attitude.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00-$18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 30 per week
