About the Position
The Technical Analyst would be responsible for researching emerging technologies to solve business needs and increase value and efficiencies in operational services for both internal and external stakeholders. This role identifies key business drivers, new opportunities, and in collaboration with cross-functional teams, develops a business case, strategies, and solutions.
Owning the initiative from its inception to implementation, the Technical Analyst is responsible for consulting and managing implementation teams, using Agile methodology to ensure the timely delivery of new projects, applications, processes, and equipment. The role will be hands on in financial process configuration and management within Workday Finance.
This role is also responsible for managing the relationships with Business and 3rd party vendors and is involved in developing and reviewing the criteria used to evaluate their performance. Leading initiatives from project inception, delivering solutions, coordinating testing and support, testing and production readiness.
Responsibilities
· Lead or support IS and business initiatives, managing timelines, stakeholder communication, and delivery.
· Manage and support financial systems, including setting up configurations, workflows, security, and integrations
· Work with cross functional teams to identify key business drivers by analyzing business processes, progressive business ideas, technology implementations, and issues and its impacts
· Develop strategies and recommendations, including business benefits and costs, implementation, and training plan
· Work with business users to understand needs and process inefficiencies and identify improvement to workflows and processes.
· Collaborate with stakeholders during validation and UAT, providing support to ensure solutions meet end user needs.
· Project Manage, scrum master for smaller initiatives
· Create technical documentation, configuration notes, and user training materials.
· Supports release readiness activities, ensuring smooth deployment and adoption of new features.
· Handle system updates, patches, and enhancements while minimizing disruptions and day to day work
Requirements
· Minimum education level, Bachelor's degree
· Minimum 10 years' progressive IT experience with a focus on assessment, research and analysis of business and system needs while
· Minimum 5 years of Workday Finance experience
· Minimum 2 years end to end Workday Finance Implementation Experience of various modules that Includes General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Billing.
· Minimum 2 years' experience of FDM, Work tags, BIRT, APIs and exposure to Workday Studio.
· Agile & Waterfall methodology experience
· Experience with exploring alternative solution options while recommending technology solutions and designs that exceed business requirements
· Project management experience in a collaborative 'Agile' environment.
· Excellent analytical, written and oral communication/presentation skills
· Excellent presentation skills
· Ability to balance multiple assignments, both immediate and strategic, at the same time
· Enthusiasm, flexibility and commitment
· Demonstrated convincing Change Management and Strategic Thinking competencies
· Strong listening, negotiation and facilitation skills
· Experience managing external technology vendors
