SURGICAL COORDINATOR (INTRAOCULAR PROCEDURES)

The wage range for this role is $24.23-$29.07/hr.
A look at your benefits You are eligible to receive a bonus. You have a permanent full-time position (40hrs/week, occasional Saturdays) and we currently have one vacant position. Your tasks at a glance You answer questions from surgeons and patients regarding intraocular procedures. You maintain tracking sheets and monthly statistical reports. You receive and process approval of cataract surgery by medical directors. You identify and solve problems as they arise. You plan, organize, and schedule patients for surgery days. You are comfortable standing for long periods of time. You are detail-oriented and work with precision and accuracy. You will be cross-trained for the Surgical Assistant position (once you have completed your initial training You support the organization's Risk Management program by identifying and promptly reporting patient safety concerns, incidents, or potential risks to clinic management, to assist in the organization's overall efforts to identify, report, and mitigate risks. A clear view of your assets You have experience in the healthcare field (an asset). You find it easy to connect with others and quickly build trust. You have a sense of responsibility and take your role seriously. You especially thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and when you work as part of a team. You are comfortable with computers, technology, and Microsoft 365 (knowledge of EMR systems is an asset). You are organized, self-disciplined, and have excellent prioritization, time management, and problem-solving skills. You have excellent communication skills. Schedule: You have flexible availability Monday - Friday (8:00am - 4:00pm) & occasional Saturdays. Required: You can travel for work/training between our three LASIK MD clinics in the region: Ottawa, Ottawa West & Gatineau.
