Job Overview

Affinity Helping Hands is seeking a reliable, proactive and caring Personal & Family Support Assistant to support a busy household and executive with a blend of personal, household, and educational duties. This unique role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, takes initiative and thrives in a dynamic family environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Household Support: Light cleaning duties including washing dishes, tidying common areas, and maintaining clean floors
  • Executive Assistance: Help the executive stay organized by managing calendars, reminders, and daily scheduling.
  • Day-to-Day Errands: Occasionally run errands around Vancouver (e.g. groceries, pick-up); a valid driver's license is required.
  • Child Engagement & Tutoring: Provide hands-on support to the children for approximately one hour daily, focusing on English language skills and reading comprehension in a fun, engaging way.
  • Other duties as required by family needs.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2-3 years' experience in household support, executive assistance or tutoring.
  • Valid driver's license and comfort navigating local errands.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal abilities.
  • Passion for working with children and supporting their learning.
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
  • Must provide and maintain a satisfactory Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Sector Check and Child Abuse Registry Check.
  • Certifications in CPR and First Aid are assets but not mandatory
  • English speaking. Nice to have: Cantonese / Cambodian/ Mandarin
