About us

Hardland Landscape & Design in Thunder Bay, ON is looking for motivated employees to provide a high level of customer service to our winter clients.

We are looking for winter technicians to join our team as we head into the winter season. With the potential for summer employment opportunities.

Winter Technicians - Snow Shovelers and Small Equipment Operators for the 2025–2026 winter season. Perfect for students, retirees or those looking for seasonal, flexible work.

Position Details:

  • Hours: On-call during snowfalls, typically 8-12 hour shifts , working both days and nights
  • Compensation: $25 per hour, paid bi-weekly.
  • Start Date: November 20th, 2025
  • Location: Thunder Bay and surrounding area

Responsibilities:

  • Shovel walkways, steps, parking stalls and sidewalks
  • Apply sand, salt/ice-melt where required
  • Assist skid steer and plow operators during large snow events
  • Follow safety procedures and supervisor direction
  • Maintain a high level of quality control.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to work outdoors in all conditions
  • Good physical fitness (able to lift 50 lbs)
  • Reliable and available on short notice during snow events
  • Team player with strong work ethic
  • Experience operating a snow blower is a asset.
  • Own transportation is a asset

Pay: $25.00 per hour
