Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our children's services team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive patient care, develop individualized treatment plans, and support patients in achieving their functional goals. This role requires a compassionate, creative professional with strong clinical skills and experience with children with diverse needs. A interest in supporting sensory needs is an asset. The Occupational Therapist will play a vital role in improving patients' quality of life through tailored therapeutic interventions.

Duties

  • Assess patients' physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities to determine appropriate treatment plans
  • Develop and implement personalized therapy programs aimed at improving daily living skills and functional independence
  • Collaborate with our ABA team as well as other community partners
  • Document patient progress and adjust treatment strategies as needed
  • Educate patients and their families on therapeutic exercises, adaptive techniques, and safety measures
  • Manage caseloads efficiently while maintaining high standards of care
  • Maintain accurate records in compliance with healthcare regulations
  • Experience
  • Experience in pediatrics is highly desirable for working with children requiring occupational therapy
  • Proven case management skills to coordinate patient services effectively
  • In good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario
