Escarpment View Dental is a friendly and established Milton practice that continues to grow and we are excited to have a part time Hygiene opportunity available. Our office is open a variety of hours to accommodate our patients needs. The position will include Thursday's 2pm-8pm as well as 1-2 Saturday's per month 8am-2pm. Additional hours are available for discussion. New grads welcome; we provide a great environment and support for a quick and comfortable integration to our dental team.

Responsibilities:

- Perform procedures within the scope of dental hygiene practice; which will include but not limited, to in office whitening, periodontal chemotherapy agent placement and preventative sealants placement.

- Take dental x-rays when needed.

- Assess and monitor patients' periodontal condition with limited or extended periodontal assessment and general oral health examinations; which will include regular cancer screens.

- Educate patients on preventive care.

-Triage specialist referrals if needed.

-Take part in team work to create a good environment for patient overall dental care by working with team members inside and outside of the office.

- Familiarity with Abeldent is an asset.
