Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Technician to join our dynamic team. Preference will be given to ticketed Journeyman Techs but third and fourth year techs will be considered. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in automotive repair and maintenance. As an Automotive Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring that vehicles are operating safely and efficiently. Your expertise will contribute to providing exceptional customer service while maintaining high standards of quality. This is a flat rate position.

Duties

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot vehicle issues using schematics and diagnostic tools.
  • Perform repairs and maintenance on various automotive systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
  • Assemble components and systems as needed to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
  • Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote efficiency and safety.
  • Communicate with customers regarding their vehicle needs, providing clear explanations of services performed.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repairs and customer satisfaction.
  • Handle heavy lifting as required during the repair process.

Experience

  • Previous experience as an Automotive Technician or Mechanic in a dealership or independent shop setting is preferred.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand complex automotive systems.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment effectively.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to customers.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to engage in continuous learning to stay updated on industry advancements and technologies.
