Program Lead/Head Coach

TOP Lacrosse is looking to hire a passionate and enthusiastic coach to lead our lacrosse program in the York Region. From Junior Lax program (Coed ages 4-6) to our Sixes Leagues (U9, U11, U13 Divisions) we are looking for a strong personality to spearhead the program for seasons to come.

The primary responsibility of the Program Lead is to direct our sessions in accordance with Club policies and Development Curriculum. This position will work alongside our lacrosse director to oversee all aspects of training and player development on the field.

TOP Lacrosse in York Region will run from late April to the end of June, pausing for the summer, and then resuming in the fall from the first day of September to the last day of October with sessions taking place twice weekly.

OTHER FEATURES:

• Opportunity to work TOP Summer Camps during the Months of July and August

• All trainings sessions will be at Holy Trinity School on Wednesdays and Sundays

• Additional opportunities to work Fun Fairs, Town Events and Parent Nights to help grow the TOP Lacrosse brand in York Region

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide Technical coaching to our Lacrosse athletes, in line with Club curriculum and Development Plan.

• Plan and execute all training sessions with assistance from Technical Director.

• Ensure regular communication with the General Manager on player development and program success

• Work with the General Manager to ensure effective communication between the Club and parents.

• Help build and grow the TOP Sports Lacrosse program in York region through Fun Fairs, Local Events and Parent Nights

Required Experience:

• Experience working in youth lacrosse between the U4 to U13 age groups. (preferred)

Ideal Certifications:

NCCP Certifications such as Making Headways or Ethical Decisions (preferred)

TOP Lacrosse offers licensing subsidy programs for coaches interested in professional development.

With no schedule overlap, less travel time, and seasonal schedules that means a more well-rounded sports experience, more time back into families' lives, and fewer headaches to allow children the opportunity to play more than one sport.

Our belief is that by exposing kids to as many sports as possible at young ages we can create better individual sport athletes in later years, and our team is committed to providing the best youth sports experience possible, prioritizing development and enjoyment over winning at all costs.
