We are a dynamic Calgary private surgical practice providing the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgeries ranging from wisdom tooth removal and dental implant surgery to corrective jaw surgeries.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Greet and check in patients, patient support persons and other visitors, and take appropriate action for each individual
  • Ensure all patients and support persons are provided with ongoing information and support for the entirety of their reception and waiting experience.
  • Answer and appropriately distribute incoming telephone calls

  • As appropriate, book, reschedule or cancel appointments and record changes in the patient record

  • Provide support and assistance to the Patient Care Teams regarding booking appointments for surgeries and consults, and ensuring appropriate documentation associated with those appointments is completed

Other

  • Participate in meetings and training as required
  • Maintain current knowledge (technology, billing, practice admin, own job responsibilities)
  • Work cooperatively with other staff
  • Develop and maintain positive interactions with patients
  • Prepare reports as requested
  • Undertake any other related activities as required

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma - Dental Office Administration and experience with processing Accounts Payable/Receivables
  • 3 or more years' experience working in a dental practice
  • Team player with the ability to be flexible and work in a busy environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
