for our client, a major provincial utility organization, to support the delivery of complex business and technology initiatives within a regulated utility environment.

ABOUT THE PROJECT:

Systematix is supporting a major provincial utility organization undertaking multiple initiatives to modernize, enhance, and sustain critical systems and business processes.

The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering projects aligning with organizational standards, regulatory requirements, and stakeholder expectations. This role requires strong leadership, governance, and delivery discipline within a structured public-sector environment.

ABOUT THE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead end-to-end project delivery, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and close-out
  • Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, risks, issues, and dependencies
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including business, IT, vendors, and external partners
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within approved budgets
  • Facilitate project governance, status reporting, and executive communications
  • Manage project risks, issues, and change requests using established methodologies
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Support procurement, vendor coordination, and contract management activities
  • Lead stakeholder engagement and change management activities
  • Produce and maintain project documentation and artifacts

REQUIREMENTS:

Must-have:

  • 7+ years of experience as a Project Manager delivering complex business and IT projects
  • Proven experience managing projects in structured or regulated environments
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, or hybrid)
  • Experience managing schedules, budgets, risks, and dependencies
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Experience producing formal project documentation and reports
  • Ability to work onsite or remotely aligned to Regina, Saskatchewan

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience in utilities, Crown corporations, or public-sector organizations
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification
  • Experience working with enterprise systems or infrastructure projects
  • Familiarity with organizational governance and approval processes
  • Experience supporting change management initiatives

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Location: Onsite – Regina, Saskatchewan

Planned Start Date: April 1, 2026

Planned End Date: March 31, 2027

Guaranteed Utilization: 100%

Work Hours: Standard business hours (37.5 hours/week)

PAY DISCLOSURE:

Intermediate (6–9 years): $80–100/hr

Senior (10+ years): $100–120/hr

Compensation is commensurate with experience, skills, and market conditions.
