Personal Support Workers VS1125 (PSW)

The Career Foundation is hosting a job fair for Personal Support Workers VS1125 (PSW) on behalf of CarePartners one of our employer partners.

· Location: Hiring across GTA

· Job Type: Regular

· Salary: $20.96/hour

· Number of Vacancies: Multiple

Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients with personal care, mobility, hygiene, and daily routines.
  • Provide cognitive, emotional, and social support to clients.
  • Support meal preparation and light household tasks in accordance with individualized care plans.
  • Use proper body mechanics and transfer techniques to ensure client safety.
  • Assist with medications as directed.
  • Maintain effective communication with supervisors and clients.
  • Deliver care in alignment with the mission and values of the employer.

Requirements:

  • Valid Personal Support Worker (PSW) Certificate or equivalent (e.g., Health Care Aide, DSW, Internationally Educated Nurse, or current enrollment in a nursing program).
  • Valid Ontario driver's license (G or G2) and access to a reliable vehicle with proof of insurance.
  • Clear background and vulnerable sector check.
  • Strong ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Availability to work non-traditional hours, including early mornings, evenings, and alternate weekends.

Additional Compensation Includes:

  • Paid mileage at $0.45/km plus paid travel time.
  • $750 retention bonus.
