Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Production Planner to join our manufacturing team. This role is essential in coordinating production schedules, managing inventory levels, and ensuring the seamless flow of materials and products throughout the manufacturing process. The ideal candidate will utilize advanced ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems, including SAP, to optimize production planning, support continuous improvement initiatives, and uphold quality standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to operational excellence and drive efficiency across the supply chain.
Duties
- Develop and maintain detailed production schedules aligned with customer demands, inventory levels, and capacity constraints.
- Utilize SAP and other ERP systems to monitor material availability, track production progress, and adjust plans proactively.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, supply chain management, and plant management teams to coordinate procurement, assembly, and delivery timelines.
- Analyze supply chain data to identify bottlenecks, forecast resource requirements, and implement process improvements.
- Support lean manufacturing initiatives by identifying waste reduction opportunities and promoting best practices in process improvement.
- Ensure compliance with quality control standards by integrating quality metrics into production planning.
- Monitor inventory levels using supply chain analytics tools to optimize stock levels and reduce excess or shortages.
- Facilitate communication across departments to ensure production plans are understood and executed efficiently.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects aimed at enhancing operational workflows and plant productivity.
Requirements
- Proven experience in production management or manufacturing planning within a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with SAP ERP systems, MRP (Material Requirements Planning), and other supply chain management tools.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, assembly operations, and plant management principles.
- Mechanical knowledge is advantageous for understanding equipment capabilities and constraints.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze supply chain data and implement process improvements effectively.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing methodologies and continuous improvement strategies.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams across global operations.
