Motion Graphics Designer - Student Work Study job opportunities open to full-time Fanshawe College students who qualify for the Work Study Bursary program.

This opportunity is supported through The Work Study Employment Program, which is designed to provide work opportunities to Fanshawe College full-time post-secondary or post diploma students with a demonstrated financial need. 

Eligible Students

•Students at Fanshawe College must be a full-time registered student, and meet financial needs assessment criteria 

*International Student must have a valid Work permit.


•Must be in good academic standing according to program requirements.

Successful candidates may be asked to apply to the Work Study Employment Program.  The Work Study Employment Program will help Fanshawe Student Union financially to employ students over the summer, fall, and winter term.

Contract - Temporary Part-Time (January April 2026)

Up to 20 hours of work per week

Motion Graphics (Work Study)

The Motion Graphics Designer (Work Study) plays a key role in enhancing the FSU's visual storytelling through dynamic motion design. This position is ideal for a creative and technically skilled student who is passionate about animation, visual communication, and multimedia marketing. The role involves collaborating on integrated campaigns, producing animated content for social media, and supporting the FSU's branding and promotional efforts.

This is a Work Study position open to full-time Fanshawe College students approved for the Work Study program.

Job Duties

  • Collaborate on creative concepts and independently execute motion graphic projects.
  • Design and animate content for FSU social media channels and other digital platforms.
  • Work with the Graphic Designer to develop integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Create storyboards and animation sketches to visualize concepts.
  • Edit raw footage and enhance it with effects, audio, and animation.
  • Prepare graphics to meet technical specifications and quality standards.
  • Utilize existing visual assets and design systems to maintain brand consistency.
  • Support social media and experiential marketing initiatives with multimedia content.
  • Ensure all creative materials align with FSU branding and accessibility standards.
  • Meet production deadlines and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborate with team members to generate innovative ideas and solutions.

Requirements

  • Must be a full-time Fanshawe College student approved for the Work Study program.
  • Enrolled in Graphic Design, Interactive Media Design, 3D Animation and Character Design, or a related program.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud, especially After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
  • Experience with 2D/3D motion graphics and animation.
  • Strong understanding of graphic design principles and multimedia production.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Reliable attendance and adaptability to changing project needs.
