Journeyperson Electrician

Minimum four years of electrical experience required.

We are looking for a Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. Tracer Electric is a well-established small business that has been operating in the BC interior for over fifteen years. We are seeking friendly, driven, reliable team members who will work to exceed client's expectations and perform work in a safe and timely manner.

Journeyperson Electrician:

The ideal candidate will have experience in electrical installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and components. The successful candidate will have experience troubleshooting electrical issues in residential and commercial settings, good knowledge of construction protocols. All individuals must adhere to standard safety protocol.

Job Scope

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and components
• Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair.
• Be comfortable using a variety of power tools and equipment such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools and testing equipment.
• Troubleshoot malfunctioning systems and components to locate the cause of the issue and correct the problem.
• Ability to work alone or with others to complete the job in a safe and timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Training and working with apprentices to complete work.
• Ability to problem solve and work independently or with groups smoothly.
• Work in a safe and productive manner
• Provide and friendly and courteous manner to all clients.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Red Seal BC
• Levels 1-4 apprenticeship
• Valid Driver's License

Requirements

• Experience working on residential and commercial work sites.
• Must reside in Kamloops or be able to reliably commute
• Must have own PPE and basic tools
• Ability to work well with others and lead by example

Work Conditions

• Working in all weather conditions, both indoor and outdoor
• Full PPE required at all times
• Active construction site hazards
• Physically able to lift up to 40lbs
• Five day work weeks, Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 3:30PM
