What will you do?

  • Learn and grow as an important part of a team that cares about Reliance and its customers.
  • Conduct role-based training needs analyses for managers, inventory clerks, and helpers; translate findings into a structured curriculum and learning paths.
  • Develop modular, competency-based content (job aids, SOPs, quick-reference guides, videos, microlearning, and eLearning).
  • Align curriculum with operational workflows in IFS/FSM, including inventory transactions, work orders, part reservations, returns, and warranty processes.
  • Create assessment tools (knowledge checks, skills demos, and scenario-based evaluations) and define pass/fail thresholds.
  • Health and Safety – ensures adherence to all safety standards and practices, including oversight, care and maintenance of facilities, equipment and materials.
  • Standardize Supply Chain procedures across sites: receiving, storage, picking/packing, shipping, cycle counting, and inventory accuracy controls.
  • Teach and reinforce warranty recovery processes: eligibility checks, documentation standards, claim submission in IFS/FSM, parts disposition, and tracking recoveries.
  • Maintain and update training content with system releases, policy changes, and audit findings.
  • Define training KPIs and dashboards (e.g., training completion, inventory accuracy %, cycle count variance, claim acceptance rate, warranty recovery $).
  • Conduct post-training evaluations; analyze performance data to identify gaps and retrain as needed.
  • Document SOPs and ensure version control, accessibility, and compliance.
  • Travel is required – branches across Canada.

What do you bring?

  • 3–5+ years in training, operations enablement, or process improvement within warehousing or field service environments.
  • Hands-on experience with IFS (Supply Chain/Inventory, FSM/Work Orders, RMA/Warranty modules).
  • Strong Supply Chain knowledge: receiving, put-away, picking, shipping, cycle counts, inventory controls, and returns.
  • Proven warranty recovery expertise (eligibility, documentation, submission, reconciliation).
  • Curriculum design skills including assessment and certification design.
  • Excellent facilitation skills across diverse frontline audiences; strong communication and documentation.
  • Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, Word; familiarity with LMS tools and reporting.
  • IFS certifications or formal training in Supply Chain/FSM modules.
  • Experience implementing role-based access, data governance, and audit readiness in IFS/FSM.
  • Background in HVAC or industrial distribution environments.
  • Experience with safety/ESG-aligned training and warehouse compliance.
