We are currently seeking a talented and high skill Cook with a strong background in Mexican cuisine to join our culinary team. Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and coordinate special events, banquets, and buffets
  • Design menus and accurately estimate food requirements and costs
  • Prepare and cook a wide variety of meals, including complete dishes and individual items
  • Prepare traditional and contemporary Mexican dishes with authenticity and consistency
  • Accommodate special dietary needs by preparing meals for customers with food allergies or intolerances
  • Collaborate with dietitians to prepare special meals for patients as needed
  • Requisition food ingredients and kitchen supplies as necessary
  • Maintain inventory and detailed records of food, supplies, and equipment
  • Ensure cleanliness and compliance in all kitchen and food service areas
  • Train and mentor kitchen staff on proper food preparation and handling techniques
  • Supervise daily activities of kitchen staff and helpers
  • Monitor and maintain food safety and quality standards
  • Order kitchen supplies and equipment efficiently
  • Oversee the overall operation and organization of the kitchen

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in preparing and cooking authentic Oaxacan Mexican cuisine is a must
  • Previous experience as a cook or kitchen supervisor
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented and high-pressure environment
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

Education:

  • Secondary School (preferred)

Experience:

  • Cooking: 2 years (preferred)
