Responsibilities

  • Prepare and assemble sushi rolls, sashimi, and other Japanese dishes with precision and care.
  • Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and handled according to food safety guidelines.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station and kitchen area.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
  • Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of ingredients and supplies.
  • Follow recipes accurately while also being open to experimenting with new flavors and presentations.
  • Provide exceptional service by ensuring that every dish meets quality standards before serving.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in the food industry, particularly in a restaurant setting, is preferred.
  • Knowledge of food safety practices, including proper food handling techniques.
  • Strong skills in meal preparation and cooking, with an emphasis on sushi techniques.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
