About the Opportunity

Join our client, an innovative leader in the healthcare industry, in a dynamic Corporate Accountant role. This position, reporting to the Interim Controller, offers a unique opportunity to work in a shared services environment across multiple entities. You'll be part of a collaborative team in Mississauga, contributing to essential financial operations like month-end closings and cash management. This contract role provides an impactful chance to shape and streamline processes, with room for potential extension. If you have strong accounting skills and a proactive mindset, this opportunity is for you

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute month-end pre-close and closing activities, ensuring timely completion

  • Conduct inventory reconciliations and maintain the fixed asset register

  • Manage taxes for the holding company and ensure compliance

  • Oversee cash management processes, including payment setups and approvals

  • Collaborate with operations for accurate financial reporting

What You Bring

  • CPA designation or equivalent experience

  • Strong accounting and FP&A skills

  • Experience with ERP systems, particularly AX and Spire; familiar with Hyperion for consolidations

  • Ability to handle manual processes and address discrepancies

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
