The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting waste containers, loading and unloading materials, and ensuring timely delivery and pickup services. This role requires a strong understanding of commercial driving regulations, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to handle physically demanding tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

  • Operate roll-off trucks, front loader trucks, rear loader trucks, dump trucks, tractor-trailers, and flatbeds to transport waste containers and materials efficiently.
  • Load and unload materials using appropriate equipment while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Drive heavy-duty trucks with manual transmissions across various routes, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and safety standards.
  • Perform routine inspections of vehicles to identify mechanical issues and perform basic maintenance or coordinate repairs as needed.
  • Safely load and secure cargo to prevent shifting or damage during transit.
  • Assist with the collection of waste or materials from designated sites, ensuring timely pickups and deliveries.
  • Maintain accurate logs of trips, deliveries, pickups, and vehicle inspections in accordance with company policies.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and readiness for operation.

Experience

  • Proven experience operating front loader trucks, rear loader trucks, roll-off trucks, dump trucks, tractor-trailers, or flatbeds in a commercial setting.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge related to heavy-duty truck maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Prior experience with driving manual transmission vehicles preferred.
  • Delivery driver experience is highly desirable.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during loading/unloading processes.
  • Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements required.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations related to heavy vehicle operation and transportation of materials. This position offers an opportunity for skilled drivers to contribute to a dynamic team while utilizing their expertise in heavy-duty truck operation. Candidates should be committed to safety, reliability, and excellent service delivery in every aspect of their work.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $27.00-$32.93 per hour
