JOB PURPOSE

Monitor, verify and approve the production processes and tool changes in conjunction with the Production Manager to ensure production requirements are met per forecasted schedule.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Adherence to all procedures and maintenance of clean and safe environment.
  • Perform required preventative maintenance on all injection molds and complete all checklists and documentation as lined out in procedures.
  • Documentation of all process changes and/or deviations from standard processes.
  • Anticipate and resolve issues that may hinder production performance.
  • Replace, repair hoses, fittings, etc. where required
  • Perform required tool changes timely to ensure completion of required production as well as meeting or exceeding daily targets for efficiency, effectivity, and utilization
  • Perform tool changes using approved checklists and procedures (PIMMP)
  • Complete all changeover and maintenance reports as required by the MRO.
  • Ensure all necessary preparations are completed and available for the next shift to ensure smooth transition at shift change and limit interruptions and/or downtime for that shift
  • The Setup Technicians are empowered to shut down machines (cease production) when Quality and/or Safety issues arise or persist.

  • High level of competency in injection molding and knowledge of tooling.

TRAINING

  • Possess basic understanding of FEMA (Failure Mode and Effect Analysis)
  • Crane operation certification
  • Lift truck operation certification

EXPERIENCE

  • Crane operation experience
  • Lift truck operation experience

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Shift work required
  • Must be willing and available to work overtime and weekends as needed
  • Must be able to work in a variety of temperatures
  • Capable of physical mobility including sitting, bending, twisting, standing, lifting and frequent walking in a fast paced environment.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25kg on a regular basis.
