What You'll Be Doing:

As a Landscape Construction Labourer, you'll support your crew in the hands-on construction of residential landscapes. You'll work directly under the Foreperson and Lead Hand to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to our high standards.

1. Hardscape Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the installation of patios, stairs, retaining walls, fences, and stonework
  • Help operate and maintain tools and small machinery (saws, compactors, wheelbarrows, skid steers, etc.)
  • Support site preparation and grading tasks

2. Softscape Responsibilities:

  • Install sod, artificial turf, and plantings
  • Assist with installation and maintenance of water features
  • Prepare soil, mulch, and softscape areas to finish projects beautifully

3. General Duties:

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized worksite
  • Load, move, and transport materials and tools
  • Perform daily inspections and basic maintenance on tools and equipment
  • Participate in snow removal operations during the winter (plowing, salting, shoveling, etc.)

Who You Are:

  • Reliable, punctual, and eager to learn new skills
  • Physically capable of lifting 50 lbs repeatedly and working outdoors year-round
  • Able to take direction and work well as part of a team
  • Have reliable transportation to job sites (your own vehicle is a strong asset)
  • Possess basic English communication skills
  • Have steel-toed boots and are ready to work safely every day

Bonus Skills

  • Valid BC Class 5 driver's license
  • Experience towing trailers
  • Experience operating landscape equipment or machinery (skid steer, excavator, etc.)
  • Rubber or gum boots for wet conditions

Physical Outdoor Work Expectations:

This is a physically active role requiring lifting, bending, and working outdoors in all weather conditions across Metro Vancouver.
