The position:

Trail Appliances is seeking an experienced, self-motivated IT Business Analyst to help enhance the systems and processes that support our mission of delivering exceptional service and value to our customers. In this role, you'll play a key part in shaping technology solutions that strengthen efficiency, enable innovation, and empower our teams to continue building on our reputation as an industry leader rooted in integrity, respect, and collaboration.

This is a hybrid position that requires availability onsite at our Calgary (South) location.

What you'll be doing:

  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements, workflows, and improvement opportunities in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Design and implement scalable IT solutions aligned with business needs and company objectives.
  • Lead testing and quality assurance activities, including test planning, UAT coordination, and defect tracking.
  • Manage IT projects by developing plans, coordinating cross-functional teams, and monitoring progress to achieve milestones.
  • Provide data analysis, reporting, training, and ongoing support to ensure effective use of IT systems and drive business decisions.

What you need to be successful:

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Business, or a related field, with relevant certifications considered an asset.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of business processes, IT systems, and project management methodologies (Agile/Waterfall).
  • Proficiency with data analysis, reporting, and project management tools (e.g., Power BI, Excel, JIRA, Visio).
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder relationship skills, with ERP or retail/distribution experience an advantage.

Availability:

This is a full-time position and will require you to be available:
Monday to Friday from 7:00am to 5:00pm. On-call as needed
