As a CNC Set-up Operator, you will play a crucial role in our manufacturing process, ensuring that our CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines are set up and operated to produce high-quality components. You'll be at the forefront of precision machining, utilizing your skills to interpret blueprints and specifications while maintaining the highest standards of quality control. What you'll do
- Set up and operate CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and other machining equipment according to specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, CAD (Computer-Aided Design) drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) requirements to ensure accurate production.
- Conduct regular quality checks using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to maintain product standards.
- Collaborate with the assembly line team to optimize production processes and improve workflow efficiency.
- Perform routine maintenance on machines and troubleshoot any issues that arise during operation.
- Utilize hand tools and tooling systems for fabrication tasks as needed.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols while handling materials and operating machinery.
Basic qualifications
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in a manufacturing facility.
- Familiarity with Fanuc systems and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Proficient in basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
Preferred qualifications
- Previous factory experience in materials handling or assembly operations.
