Description:

Reporting to the National Brand Manager - Sapporo, Value, the National Assistant Brand Manager - Sapporo, Value is responsible for developing, supporting and executing national advertising initiatives for the Sapporo and Value brands. This role also leads the Sapporo brand Social Media strategy and execution. This is a hybrid work model with 2 days per week minimum in office. 

Responsibilities 

Strategic Planning & Brand Leadership 

  • Develop the strategy and lead the execution of key advertising or national activities for the Sapporo and Value Brands, including Sapporo National Promotion and Pabst Art Can initiatives. This includes the development of 3-year brand strategies and plans for these areas of the business. 
  • Occasionally lead special projects for the assigned brands. 

Marketing Program Development & Execution 

  • Develop and support the execution of advertising or national activities such as promotions, product introductions, marketing activities, product development, public relation programs, packaging development, and POS. 
  • Collaborate with all Trade Marketing Managers and Brand Activity Managers in the development and execution of promotions and events. Sets guidelines and ensures trade execution is consistently aligned with brand standards. 
  • Monitors competitive brands advertising and promotional activities. 

Digital & Social Media Management 

  • Independently lead Sapporo social media strategy, planning, and content execution via leadership of social media and Public Relations / Influencer Agencies . 
  • Monitor, maintain, and refresh social media content and websites. 

Performance Analysis & Reporting 

  • Lead monthly brand performance updates to the Manager, Director and VP and support brand performance analysis through all stages of commercial planning and program analysis. 

Budget Management & Compliance 

  • Execute activities within budgets, on time, and with excellence. 
  • Track and manage budget. 
  • Maintain compliance with all Canadian advertising law, standards, and liquor board regulations. 

Internal Communication & Continuous Improvement 

  • Populate and maintain brand information and programs on the intranet in a timely fashion. 
  • Recommend and implement continuous improvement and MUDA reduction practices. 
  • Provide support on miscellaneous marketing projects from time to time on an as-needed basis.  

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in marketing or related business field 
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a related role within a consumer-packaged goods environment 
  • Beverage alcohol industry experience considered an asset    
  • Experience managing digital and social media programs is required 
  • Proven ability to work effectively on multiple cross-functional teams 
  • Financial acumen and accountability for financial results 
  • Excellent project management and organization skills 
  • Excellent communications skills. 
  • Strong computer skills, including ability to use Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook 
  • Bilingual (in English and French) considered an asset

Responsabilités 

Planification stratégique et gestion de la marque 

  • Élaborer et gérer l'exécution des activités média et des activités nationales clés pour la marque Sapporo et les marques économiques, y compris les promotions nationales et le projet de canette illustrée; Ceci comprend l'élaboration des plans et des stratégies de marque triennaux pour ces secteurs; 
  • Diriger, à l'occasion, des projets spéciaux pour les marques assignées. 

Élaboration et mise en œuvre du programme de marketing 

  • Élaborer et gérer l'exécution des activités média et des activités nationales telles que promotions, lancements de produits, activités marketing, développement de produits, programmes de relations publiques, développement d'emballage, PLV; 
  • Travailler en collaboration avec les directeurs et directrices d'activation marketing et les directeurs et directrices des activités de marque pour élaborer et exécuter les promotions et événements; Définir des lignes directrices et veiller à ce que l'exécution des activités sur le terrain soient toujours conforme aux normes de la marque; 
  • Surveiller les activités de la concurrence en matière d'activités promotionnelles et média. 

Gestion des médias sociaux et numériques 

  • Mener de façon autonome la stratégie, la planification et l'exécution de contenu pour les médias sociaux pour la marque Sapporo avec l'aide des gestionnaires des réseaux sociaux et des agences de relations publiques/influenceurs; 
  • Réviser, mettre à jour et actualiser le contenu des médias sociaux et des sites web. 

Analyse de performances et comptes rendus 

  • Communiquer mensuellement au directeur, à la directrice principale et au vice-président les résultats de performance de la marque et participer à l'analyse de la performance de la marque à toutes les étapes de la planification commerciale et de l'analyse des programmes. 

Gestion du budget et conformité 

  • Assurer l'excellence de l'exécution des activités et le respect du budget et des délais; 
  • Surveiller et gérer le budget; 
  • S'assurer de la conformité avec toutes les lois et normes canadiennes en matière de publicité et les règlements des régies des alcools; 

Communication interne et amélioration continue 

  • Alimenter et tenir à jour les informations et programmes relatifs aux marques sur l'intranet et ce, dans les délais appropriés; 
  • Recommander et mettre en œuvre des pratiques d'amélioration continue et de réduction MUDA; 
  • Fournir, à l'occasion et selon les besoins, un soutien pour l'exécution de divers projets marketing.

Exigences:

  • Études postsecondaires en marketing ou dans un domaine connexe; 
  • Au moins 5 ans d'expérience au sein d'un poste connexe dans le domaine des biens de consommation courante; 
  • De l'expérience dans l'industrie des boissons alcoolisées serait considérée comme un atout;    
  • De l'expérience de la gestion de programmes de médias sociaux et numériques est exigée; 
  • Capacité avérée à travailler efficacement au sein de plusieurs équipes inter fonctionnelles; 
  • Sens aigu des finances et capacité à rendre compte des résultats financiers 
  • Excellentes aptitudes pour la gestion de projet et excellent sens de l'organisation; 
  • Excellentes capacités de communication; 
  • Solides compétences informatiques, y compris la capacité à utiliser Excel, Word, PowerPoint et Outlook; 
  • Bilinguisme (français et anglais) serait considéré comme un atout;
