BrainiaX Early Learning and Childcare is currently seeking a reliable, caring, and responsible Van Driver to join our team at our Desrochers Center, located on the south side of Edmonton, AB.

We are looking for a safety-conscious and child-friendly individual who will ensure the safe and timely transportation of children to and from school. The ideal candidate will also support our educators in maintaining a nurturing and positive environment for all children and families.

Position Details

  • Hours: 6:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. (includes support duties during non-driving hours)
  • Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
  • Location: Brainiax Early Learning and Childcare, South Edmonton

Qualifications

  • Must hold a valid Alberta Class 4 driver's license
  • Must possess a valid Level 1, 2, or 3 Early Childhood Educator (ECE) certification
  • Clean driver's abstract and clear criminal record check with vulnerable sector
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification
  • Previous experience driving children or working in a childcare/school setting preferred
  • Must be punctual, dependable, and safety-focused
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Safely transport children to and from school and the daycare center each day
  • Inspect and maintain the vehicle daily to ensure it meets all safety and cleanliness standards
  • Follow all traffic laws and safety protocols, ensuring children are securely seated and supervised
  • Assist children in boarding and exiting the vehicle safely
  • Maintain accurate attendance and trip records
  • Communicate effectively with center staff and families regarding transportation schedules and concerns
  • Support the daycare team during non-driving hours (e.g., helping educators, organizing, or light cleaning)
  • Represent BrainiaX in a professional, friendly, and caring manner at all times
  • Able to work flexible hours
