Construction Assistant

Job summary

Under the supervision of the Project Manager, the incumbent ensures that customer specifications, quality criteria and internal procedures are met at all stages of construction activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Taking photos of work completed by field crews.
  • Coordinate and maintain records related to buried utilities (ONE CALL).
  • Complete and approve control forms related to inspections performed.
  • Provide direct support to the Project Manager in the execution of their duties.
  • Update work progress tracking files.
  • Attend, participate in, and document meetings and workshops.
  • Coordinate communications between the client and the work crew.
  • Ensure compliance with clauses related to quality management.
  • Report any event (incident, accident, infractions, etc.) immediately to their supervisor, and before leaving the worksite.
  • Participate in investigations and analyses of accidental events in which they are involved.
  • Comply with LEG's policies, procedures, and instructions, as well as those of its clients.
  • Sign an annual commitment to comply with said policies and procedures.
  • Do everything within their power to protect the equipment, reputation, and integrity of LEG and its clients.
  • All other related duties.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma
  • Valid driver's license

Work Schedule: Monday to Thursday

Duration: January through the end of March

Must provide their own transportation from Thunder Bay to the worksite, located near Sapawe. The site is accessible by car.
