The Town of Wasaga Beach is seeking creative, energetic, and self-motivated team players to join our Recreation Division as Recreation Associates.
General Responsibilities: Provide front-line support to the Recreation Division through program facilitation, delivery, and exceptional customer service. Assist in creating a positive and engaging experience for participants in a variety of recreational programs.
Qualifications:
- Diploma (or currently enrolled) in Recreation and Leisure Services, Sports Administration, Therapeutic Recreation, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Experience working or volunteering in sport, recreation, or a municipal setting.
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
- Standard First Aid and CPR/AED certification (required).
- Current Criminal Records Check – Vulnerable Sector Screening (required upon hire).
- Valid Ontario G Class driver's license in good standing and ability to provide a driver's abstract upon request.
- General knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
- Ability to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends.
