OVERVIEW

Reporting to the General Manager, the new & used car sales manager is responsible for assisting Sales Consultants in new & used car purchase, providing consultation, training, and monitoring the performance of all sales staff.

Business growth and development, in concert with ever changing trends and dynamics, the New & Used Car Sales Manager, must remain current and have the ability to adapt to these changes as necessary.

Ongoing development of competent sales techniques, acquiring new business and building customer relationships are key components of this role.

Qualifications

In order to preform the duties of New & Used Car Sales Manager, the candidate or incumbent must possess the following skills or relevant aptitudes:

Education

Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent

Beneficial: UniversityDegree/ College Diploma in Automotive Dealership Management/ Business Administration.

Certification/ License

Required: 1.Valid Ontario drivers license with a Clean Drivers Abstract

  1. OMVIC Certification

Experience

Required: Two years in Automotive Sales Management with a proven track record; Minimum Five years of automotive sales experience

Experience using the Microsoft Office Suite of products

Beneficial: Experience in Customer Retention Management i.e., Vin Solutions, Dealer Socket or equivalent, Dealer Management System i.e., CDK, Reynolds, or equivalent, V- Auto and all relevant software as applicable.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Prepares monthly and annual budgets, forecasting goals and objectives for sales, gross and expenditures. (Reviewed with the General Manager).

  2. Coaches for salespersons success by hiring, training, and setting achievable objectives and monitoring progress.

  3. Monitors key performance indicators to ensure a continuous customer centric environment.

  4. Provides conflict resolution in case of dispute. Handles all customer concerns promptly and effectively.

  5. Remains current with, and adheres to, all Federal and Provincial regulations as well as departmental policies.

  6. Ensures all prospective customer queries receive prompt follow-up thru implementation of an effective sales process.

  7. Provides all necessary product training and resources to staff.

  8. Assist salespersons with creation of relevant sales promotions and initiatives.

  9. Attends weekly meetings with all department managers.

Vehicle sales

  1. As required, greets customers, and performs full sales process.

  2. Coaches staff on methods designed to increase new-car volume, gross and F&I penetration. (One on one or in a group meeting).

  3. Oversee the vehicle delivery process, maintaining a high standard including introduction to service.

  4. Review and maintain daily inventory to optimize maximum efficiency.

  5. Review daily sales consultant's appointments, tasks, follow up and trade appraisals.

  6. Advises on and recommends inventory to General Manager

  7. Utilizes displays and promotional materials.

  8. Appraises trade- in value when required.

  9. Review sales commissions, prepare and distribute reports.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $50,000.00-$125,000.00 per year
