ROLE PURPOSEThis position will provide outreach support to client(s) referred to Connective by Community Living British Columbia. You will work to enable clients' adjustment to and success with life in the community.STATUS AND CLASSIFICATIONUnionized. This position is open to applicants of all genders.HOURSFlexible hours based on client needs, including evenings and weekends. Program operational hours are generally from 09:00 – 17:00.Casual employees must be available for at least 14 shifts per month. If you are working full-time, or if you are a full-time student, we ask you for 10 shifts of availability per month (this is subject to employer or enrollment proof).WHAT WE OFFER? Reasonable accommodations will be made for qualified individuals with disabilities through our accommodation process.Ability to walk up and down stairsAbility to operate a motor vehicleAbility to move items weighing up to 50 poundsAbility to perform First Aid, CPR, and Naloxone administrationAbility to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of timeAbility to complete general housekeeping duties (i.e., sweeping, mopping, wiping areas, laundry, changing light bulbs)REQUIREMENTSAbility to successfully complete a Vulnerable Persons Criminal Records CheckAbility to successfully pass a reference checkCurrent Emergency First Aid Certificate (Please refer to the Certificates accepted in B.C. - WorkSafeBC).Proof of vaccination for communicable diseases may be required as mandated by Government, Health Authority, and/or funder requirementsValid class 5 driver's licensePersonal transportation that is in good repair, insured for business up to $1,000,000 for liability, and which can be used to transport clientsCOMPENSATIONAs Connective is a unionized environment, the starting wage is $27.54 per hour plus 10.6% in lieu of vacation pay and statutory.
