Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across various projects, ensuring safety and compliance with all relevant codes. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse electrical installations, including industrial, renovation, and construction sites, utilizing a broad range of electrical skills and tools.

Duties

  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to execute electrical installations and repairs accurately.
  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems including low voltage wiring, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and power distribution.
  • Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to complete electrical tasks.
  • Perform maintenance and upgrades on existing electrical systems in industrial settings and during renovation projects.
  • Diagnose electrical issues using schematics and testing equipment; implement effective solutions promptly.
  • Collaborate with construction teams to ensure electrical work aligns with project timelines and specifications.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and electrical codes to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Assist in the training of apprentices or less experienced electricians as needed.

Requirements

  • Valid Journeyperson Electrician license or certification.
  • Proven experience as an industrial electrician with knowledge of construction and renovation projects.
  • Strong ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
  • Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and low voltage systems.
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment used in electrical work.
  • Knowledge of electrical codes, safety standards, and best practices for industrial environments.
  • Maintenance Person experience is a plus for versatile troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various settings including construction sites and industrial facilities. This position requires a dedicated professional committed to safety, quality workmanship, and continuous learning in the electrical trade.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.19-$47.47 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
