About the Role
This role will optimize North American supply chain operations and implement long-term strategies aligned with business objectives. Working closely with Sourcing, Demand Planning, Procurement, and other key stakeholders, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional value to our customers. By optimizing purchasing and manufacturing plans, you will ensure we have the right product, in the right quantity, at the right place, and at the right time. This role demands a strategic mindset, strong analytical skills, and effective collaboration to ensure a seamless flow of goods and services. We are looking for a creative problem-solver who can think outside the box to design and implement innovative processes and solutions.
As a Supply Planner, you will be a key player in managing our North American inventory and supply chain. Your responsibilities include creating and executing replenishment plans, managing key performance indicators (KPIs), and collaborating with various teams to support new product launches and manage existing product life cycles. You will also have the opportunity to work on ad-hoc improvement projects to enhance our processes and overall efficiency.
NOTE: This is a 12 month contract.
What you will be doing:
- Manage inventory levels nationally and prepare replenishment plans for assigned products in a timely manner, in line with the weekly operational cycle.
- Share short terms purchasing and/or manufacturing forecasts with relevant suppliers.
- Determine inventory strategy and planning parameters i.e. target levels or storage facility.
- Report on supply planning KPIs (including but not limited to inventory position, stock outs, waste and capacity).
- Analyze supply chain performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with the Purchasing team on potential risks and propose corrective actions.
- Work closely with Strategic Sourcing as well as Demand Team to support new product launches, and build the category strategy plan.
- Work closely with the Menu Planning and Inventory team to effectively offboard product and reduce/eliminate excess and obsolete inventory.
- Maintain supply planning tools, ensure correctness of data flow.
- Assist with budget preparation; provide inputs on storage and transportation requirements across our network of DCs and third party warehouses.
- Work on ad-hoc improvement projects; other duties as assigned.

At a minimum, you have:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Business, Supply Chain or related fields.
- 2 - 5 years experience in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Inventory Management or related fields.
- Proficiency in software (Google Sheets, Excel) complemented with exceptional analytical skills, problem solving skills and ability to work with large datasets.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and assignments, while being able to prioritize, achieve objectives, and meet deadlines
- An ownership mindset and ability to work independently, with minimal supervision.
- Proven team player, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Would be an asset if you have
- ASCM certification (CSCP, CPIM) or actively working towards.
- Database management experience (e.g. SQL, Python, Tableau).
- Foundational understanding of statistics, including but not limited to normal distributions and standard deviation.
- Prior experience in the food industry or respective category.
