OUR IDEAL HVAC PROJECT MANAGER:

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Commercial HVAC Project Manager to oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of commercial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning projects. The Project Manager will manage multiple projects simultaneously, from contract award through closeout, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and according to specifications, safety standards, and quality expectations.

This role requires strong leadership, technical knowledge of HVAC systems, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, engineers, and field teams.

We're looking for someone who meets these qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in commercial HVAC project management, mechanical construction, or related field.
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems design, installation, and commissioning.
• Proven experience managing projects from $250K to $5M+ in scope.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, and contracts.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Financial acumen with the ability to manage budgets, forecasts, and project cost tracking.

And who can manage these responsibilities:

• Manage all phases of commercial HVAC projects from start to finish, including estimating support, scheduling, procurement, installation, and closeout.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and documentation.
• Review design drawings, specifications, and submittals to ensure compliance with project scope and industry standards.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, general contractors, and internal teams to resolve design or installation issues.
• Oversee subcontractors and field crews to ensure safety, productivity, and quality workmanship.
• Lead regular project meetings to track progress, address issues, and communicate status updates to stakeholders.
• Prepare and review change orders, RFIs, and project documentation.
• Manage procurement of HVAC equipment, controls, and materials in coordination with vendors and suppliers.
• Ensure adherence to company safety policies, local codes, and mechanical regulations.
• Monitor project financial performance and identify opportunities for cost savings or margin improvement.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to field supervisors.
