The Works Burgers & BBQ is seeking a dependable and motivated Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our kitchen team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality food in a fast-paced environment while maintaining cleanliness, consistency, and food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items according to The Works Burgers & BBQ standards
- Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area
- Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation guidelines accurately
- Comply with all food safety and sanitation regulations
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Follow instructions and direction clearly from kitchen leadership
- Assist with closing and cleaning duties as required
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year of kitchen experience
- Availability to work evenings and weekends
- Valid Food Handlers Certificate (required)
- Ability to work well both independently and in a team environment
- Strong communication skills and ability to follow directions clearly
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
