Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and personable Leasing Specialist to join our property management team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing leasing activities, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining positive relationships with prospective and current residents. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where strong communication, organizational skills, and familiarity with property management software are essential. The Leasing Specialist plays a vital part in ensuring occupancy goals are met while delivering a seamless leasing experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the leasing process from inquiry to lease signing, ensuring a smooth and professional experience for prospective residents
  • Utilize Yardi and other property management software to input data, update resident information, and generate reports
  • Conduct property tours, highlighting features and answering questions to attract potential tenants
  • Maintain accurate records of all leasing activities, including applications, approvals, and lease agreements
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and maintaining resident files
  • Respond promptly to inquiries via phone, email, or in person using professional phone etiquette and customer service skills
  • Negotiate lease terms with prospective residents while ensuring compliance with company policies
  • Build and nurture positive relationships with residents to promote retention and satisfaction
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team using CMMS systems to coordinate move-ins and address resident needs
  • Support marketing efforts by promoting available units through various channels

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in office administration, customer service, or property management preferred
  • Familiarity with Yardi or similar property management software is highly desirable
  • Strong sales skills with the ability to negotiate effectively and close lease agreements
  • Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and interpersonal abilities
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for data entry and filing tasks
  • Experience in customer relationship management (CRM) systems is a plus
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Prior experience in administrative roles involving data entry and office procedures is beneficial
