Trader Trainee

who is eager to learn the business of commodity trading and grow into a full-time trader within our team.

Role Description

The Trader Trainee position is designed for individuals with strong analytical skills, business instincts, and a desire to build a long-term career in commodity trading. Working directly with senior traders and management, you'll learn every aspect of the trading process — from market analysis and negotiation to logistics, financial management, and risk assessment. This is a performance-driven role where growth, autonomy, and earning potential increase as you develop your skills and demonstrate consistent results.

Key Responsibilities

As a Trader Trainee, you will:

• Support senior traders with market research, pricing, and daily trading activities.
• Learn to identify market opportunities and negotiate transactions with suppliers and customers.
• Assist in managing inventory positions, shipments, and logistics coordination.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with carriers, customers and reloads.
• Uphold all company standards for compliance, ethics, and confidentiality.
• Gradually assume independent trading responsibilities as proficiency increases.

Qualifications

• A highly motivated and entrepreneurial mindset.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent analytical and numerical ability.
• Comfort with negotiation, decision-making, and accountability.
• A passion for sales, markets, and business development.
• Proficiency with Excel, CRM systems, and general business software.
• Degree or diploma in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field (preferred but not required).

Work Hours & Environment

• Standard start time of
  6:30 AM
  , Monday to Friday.
• Fast-paced, results-oriented trading environment.
• On-site role with potential for remote flexibility upon management approval.
