Position Overview:

We are hiring a dedicated and experienced team member who can work directly on the production floor while also supporting and improving our Quality Assurance & Food Safety systems. This is a hybrid role ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on production but also has formal QA experience in a food manufacturing facility.

The ideal candidate has previously worked in a factory with established food safety certifications (HACCP, CFIA, SQF, etc.), understands compliance requirements, and can help maintain and elevate our quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Assurance (Primary Focus):

  • Assist in managing and maintaining all food safety and QA programs (HACCP, SOPs, GMPs, traceability, etc.)
  • Perform daily quality checks: temperatures, weights, metal detection, sanitation logs, production records, etc.
  • Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and on time
  • Support internal audits and help prepare for third-party or regulatory inspections
  • Identify quality issues and implement corrective actions
  • Train production staff on food safety and QA standards

Production (Hands-On):

  • Assist with daily dough and pizza production (hundreds of units per day)
  • Stretch dough, apply toppings, and ensure consistent product quality
  • Freeze, vacuum-seal, and package finished products
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
  • Support the production team with various tasks as needed

What We're Looking For:

  • Must have prior QA or QC experience in a food manufacturing facility
  • Strong understanding of food safety programs, documentation, and compliance
  • Experience working with dough, baking, or pizza production is a major plus
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
  • Hard-working, punctual, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable in a dual role that balances production work with QA responsibilities
  • Team-oriented, reliable, and committed to maintaining high standards

Location:

North York, ON — near Dufferin & Steeles

Shifts:

Monday - Friday | 8:00am - 5:00pm
