We are seeking an accomplished and dynamic Area Director to provide strategic leadership and oversight across the Eastern Canada Region, including key branches in Ontario, Quebec, and the Atlantic provinces. This pivotal role with Brink's Canada is responsible for overseeing all branch operations in their assigned region, cultivating collaborative labour-management partnerships, optimizing cash logistics and workflows, and rigorously enforcing branch-level safety protocols as we drive the future of secure commerce.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Financial Oversight:
- Define and execute the multi-year strategic roadmap for the region to ensure alignment with corporate global objectives.
- Assume full P&L accountability for the region, overseeing the consolidation of area budgets and driving initiatives to optimize EBITDA.
- Lead the Regional Area Manager in translating corporate financial plans into actionable regional targets.
- Authorize major capital expenditures (CAPEX) and resource allocations across the region.
- Analyze macro-economic trends and competitor movements to pivot regional strategy and maintain a dominant market position.
Operational Excellence & Governance:
- Establish high-level KPIs and performance benchmarks for Area Managers to ensure consistency in service delivery (ATM, CIT, and Logistics).
- Standardize operational policies across the region to drive efficiency and ensure adherence to global Brink's standards.
- Collaborate with other Regional Directors to share best practices and ensure cross-functional synergy.
- Oversee the implementation of large-scale technology or infrastructure projects within the region.
Labour Relations & Talent Strategy
- Support the regional Labour Relations strategy, overseeing high-stakes union negotiations and ensuring a stable, productive labour environment.
- Lead the regional talent management cycle, including succession planning for Area Manager, Branch Manager, and key leadership roles.
- Foster a culture of high performance, accountability, and diversity across all administrative and operational levels.
- Serve as the final escalation point for complex HR and employee relations matters within the region.
Security, Risk & Compliance
- Ensure a robust regional security measures by overseeing compliance with General Security Regulations (GSR) at a macro level.
- Review high-level risk assessments and direct the mitigation strategies for regional threats or systemic vulnerabilities.
- Partner with the Sr. Director, Risk Management & Corporate Security to evolve risk management protocols in response to emerging industry threats.
Strategic Customer & Sales Integration
- Directly establish long-term relationships with local and national customers.
- Manage any customer escalations, involving services or specific crews, promptly.
- Ensure regional infrastructure is scalable to meet the service-level agreements (SLAs) of high-value national contracts.
Health, Safety & Environment
- Champion a "Safety First" culture at a senior level, ensuring all areas meet or exceed provincial and federal safety mandates.
- Review regional safety performance trends and direct the implementation of large-scale corrective health and safety initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Language Requirements: Must be fully bilingual in French and English, with superior written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
- Experience: Minimum of 10–12 years of progressive leadership experience in operations, logistics, or supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a multi-site senior management role. Experience managing a unionized workforce is an asset.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep expertise in CIT, ATM, or 3PL industries, including an advanced understanding of the Canadian regulatory and labour landscape, is considered an asset.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field and/or professional designation (e.g., Lean Six Sigma) is highly preferred.
- Financial Acumen: Strong P&L management, financial forecasting, and complex budgetary planning for business units.

- Travel: Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
- Multitasking With Ease: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
- Schedule Flexibility: Ability to support a 24/7 operation and/or work across different time zones to support Canadian or global efforts.
