The Nunavik Housing Bureau (NHB) provides comfortable, safe and affordable homes adapted to Inuit

FUNCTION & RESPONSABILITIES

Under the direct supervision of the Foreman; you will be required to make repairs to our housing units.

More specifically you will be given work orders to complete in carpentry, heating, plumbing and electrical

repair. You will be responsible for applying a preventive maintenance plan for the housing units. You will

be a part of a callback system to answer to emergencies in the evenings and on the weekends.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Northern Maintenance diploma or pertinent experience in replacement of diploma
  • Two (2) years of experience at least 2 maintenance's fields: carpentry, electricity, heating or plumber
REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to work in two of the three languages of the region (Inuktitut, French or English)
  • Valid driver's license required or the obligation to take a driver's course when one is offered

SALARY / BENEFITS

NHB offers a competitive salary, northern benefits, and attractive working conditions. The salary for this position ranges from $28.41 to $33.91 per hour, depending on the evaluation of related

experience.

Northern benefits include a cost-of-living allowance, food allowance, and annual leave trip (ALT). In addition, NHB provides a pension plan with employer contributions and group insurance.
