Analyst, Portfolio Operations (Bilingual)
Headquartered in Toronto, the Canada Infrastructure Bank (CIB) is responsible for investing in new infrastructure projects. The CIB's mission is to work with provincial, territorial, municipal, federal, Indigenous and private sector investor partners to transform the way infrastructure is planned, financed and delivered in Canada.
The
Analyst, Portfolio Operations,
supports the daily operations and administration of a portfolio primarily composed of debt instruments. Working closely with senior team members, this role ensures the accuracy, timeliness and completeness of data, documentation and reporting throughout the investment lifecycle.
Your responsibilities include:
- Support transaction processing and maintenance of investment records throughout the asset lifecycle
- Review and organize supporting documentation for transactions, funding requests and amendments
- Capture and maintain key data elements from credit agreements, including terms, covenants and reporting obligations
- Assist in monitoring compliance with financial and operational covenants and prepare reports highlighting exceptions or upcoming deliverables
- Support collateral management activities, including maintaining custody of original documents, tracking renewals and releases, as well as monitoring collateral coverage and insurance compliance
- Assist with oversight and reconciliation of active blocked accounts, ensuring compliance with account control and reporting requirements
- Prepare recurring portfolio and covenant monitoring reports, reconciliations and data extracts to support internal and external reporting
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of dashboards and analytics using Power BI or Excel to provide insights into portfolio activity and performance
- Maintain and update process documentation to ensure consistency and audit readiness
- Participate in initiatives to improve operational efficiency through automation and enhanced internal controls
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including investment, risk and finance, to ensure data accuracy and process alignment
Your ideal profile
- Undergraduate degree in finance, commerce, accounting or a related discipline
- 1–3 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, private credit, fund administration or loan operations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Working knowledge of credit agreements, financial covenants and loan documentation is an asset
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Power BI or other business intelligence tools is an asset
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Effective written and verbal communication skills with a client-focused mindset
- Bilingualism (French and English) is highly desirable

En étroite collaboration avec les membres expérimentés de l'équipe, cette personne veille à l'exactitude, à la rapidité et à l'exhaustivité des données, de la documentation et des rapports tout au long du cycle de vie des investissements.
Vos responsabilités:
- Assurer le traitement des transactions et la tenue des registres d'investissement tout au long du cycle de vie des actifs
- Examiner et organiser la documentation de soutien pour les transactions, les demandes de financement et les modifications
- Saisir et tenir à jour les éléments clés des conventions de crédit, y compris les conditions, les clauses restrictives et les obligations de déclaration
- Aider à suivre la conformité aux clauses restrictives financières et opérationnelles et préparer des rapports mettant l'accent sur les exceptions ou les livrables à venir
- Soutenir les activités de gestion des garanties, notamment la conservation des documents originaux, le suivi des renouvellements et des libérations, ainsi que le suivi de la couverture des garanties et de la conformité des assurances
- Aider au suivi et au rapprochement des comptes bloqués actifs, en veillant au respect des exigences en matière de contrôle des comptes et de production de rapports
- Préparer des rapports récurrents de suivi du portefeuille et des clauses restrictives, des rapprochements et des extraits de données pour soutenir la production de rapports internes et externes
- Contribuer au développement et au maintien de tableaux de bord et des analyses à l'aide de Power BI ou Excel afin de fournir des informations sur l'activité et les performances du portefeuille
- Tenir à jour et mettre à jour la documentation relative aux processus afin de garantir la cohérence et la préparation aux audits
- Participer à des initiatives visant à améliorer l'efficacité opérationnelle grâce à l'automatisation et à l'amélioration des contrôles internes
- Collaborer avec des équipes interfonctionnelles, notamment les équipes des investissements, du risque et des finances, afin de garantir l'exactitude des données et l'alignement des processus
Le profil idéal:
- Diplôme universitaire de premier cycle en finance, commerce, comptabilité ou dans une discipline connexe
- De 1 à 3 ans d'expérience pertinente en finance, comptabilité, crédit privé, administration de fonds ou opérations de prêt
- Solides compétences en matière d'analyse et de résolution de problèmes, avec le souci du détail et de la précision
- Connaissance pratique des conventions de crédit, des clauses financières restrictives et de la documentation relative aux prêts, un a tout
- Maîtrise de Microsoft Excel et expérience avec Power BI ou d'autres outils d'intelligence d'affaires, un a tout
- Solides compétences organisationnelles et capacité à gérer plusieurs priorités dans un environnement en évolution rapide
- Compétences efficaces en communication écrite et verbale, avec une mentalité axée sur la clientèle
