Overview

We are seeking a friendly and organized Store Clerk to join our retail team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, managing sales transactions, and maintaining the store's appearance. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, be detail-oriented, and have a passion for retail sales and customer engagement. Multilingual abilities and experience with technology sales are highly valued to enhance our diverse customer interactions.

Duties

  • Greet customers warmly and assist with their shopping needs
  • Operate POS systems accurately for sales transactions, returns, and exchanges
  • Handle cash, process payments, and perform cash handling duties responsibly
  • Conduct product demos and upsell items to maximize sales opportunities
  • Maintain organized merchandising displays to attract customers
  • Provide product information and technical sales support when needed
  • Manage inventory levels and restock shelves as required
  • Ensure the store environment is clean, organized, and welcoming
  • Use effective phone etiquette when communicating with customers or suppliers
  • Assist in training new team members on store procedures and POS systems

Experience

  • Previous liquor retail sales or experience preferred
  • Strong communication skills in English
  • Experience with merchandising
  • Familiarity with POS systems and basic math skills for cash handling
  • Excellent organizational skills and time management abilities
  • Ability to provide exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to upsell products and enhance customer satisfaction

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent, Casual

Pay: $18.00-$19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 7 – 28 per week
